Iron Supplement

NATURELO Vegan Iron Supplement with Vitamin C & Organic Whole Foods, 90 Ct _ Gentle Iron C

I like this product because it contains Vitamin C which helps with absorption, and because this iron comes as ferrous bisglycinate which is easier on the stomach and may cause less constipation than ferrous sulfate. A recent study has shown that taking iron every other day (as opposed to every day) actually achieves better absorption, so please consider this when discussing iron replacement with your healthcare provider.

Omega-3 Fish Oil

Naturelo Omega3.jpg

Fish oil products can be deceiving and may have the total weight of oil advertised on the front, only to find out the actual Omega-3 component is minimal. This product actually has 1100 mg of Omega-3 fatty acids, and is in the triglyceride form which makes it readily accessible to your cells. Also no fishy burps!

Adult Multi-Vitamin with Iron

This multi-vitamin is unique in that it contains 1000 IU of Vitamin D and methylated B vitamins, plus polyphenols, EGCG from green tea, myo-inositol for insulin sensitivity, and phytonutrient antioxidants. This variety contains iron in the form of ferrous bisglycinate which is easy on the gut; if you don't need extra iron, try the other variety of Metagenics PhyotMulti on this page.

Adult Multi-Vitamin (without Iron)

If you are looking for a multi-vitamin but do not need any extra iron, I like this product since it contains 1000 IU of Vitamin D and methylated B vitamins, plus polyphenols, EGCG from green tea, myo-inositol for insulin sensitivity, and phytonutrient antioxidants. If are looking for a similar product with iron, try the other variety of Metagenics PhyotMulti with Iron on this page.

Vitamin D3 + K2

This higher-dose Vitamin D3 also contains K2. Vitamin D helps your body take in calcium, while the K2 helps direct the calcium to your bones and teeth, and keeps it from depositing in your arteries and other soft tissues. But Vitamin D has many benefits beyond bone health. This product also contains magnesium which is needed to convert Vitamin D into its active form, as well as probiotics and other fat soluble vitamins. It is best taken with food. Check with your provider on dosing as this contains 4000 IU Vitamin D.

Vitamin B12

This is the methylated form of B12, methylcobalamin, which is the naturally occuring active form, ready for use by the body.

DHEA

This product contains only DHEA and leaves out other unnecessary components. Your provider may use blood levels to guide dosing rather than using the "serving size" on the bottle.

CoQ10

This CoQ10 is in the form of Ubiquinol which is the active and bioavailable form. For improved absorption, take with a meal.
